House “Omiros” is a conceptual proposal for a contemporary residence on a sloping coastal site in Chios, shaped primarily by its relationship with the landscape and the Aegean horizon. The design follows a restrained architectural language of clean volumes, generous openings and strong horizontal lines, allowing the residence to open towards the sea while remaining naturally integrated into the terrain.

The contemporary character of the architecture is complemented by local stone, warm timber and layered landscaping. Stone retaining walls follow the natural contours of the site, while timber pergolas and shaded outdoor spaces introduce warmth and create a seamless transition between architecture and landscape.

Across multiple levels, terraces and outdoor living areas are positioned to maximise the panoramic views and strengthen the connection with the surrounding environment. The infinity pool further extends this relationship, visually merging with the Aegean beyond. The proposal explores a contemporary interpretation of the island’s architectural identity - where modern minimalism meets the materiality and landscape of Chios Island.
